Traslados Chilean cuisine presents in each of its dishes a mixture of traditions and cultures which resulted from a particular combination of inheritance, from native cultures and Spanish customs. It also received influences from immigrants who came to live in Chile such as Germans, Italians, French and English.
Because of the vastness of the country, you can find three distinct dining areas, but overall the Chilean cuisine is characterized by making good use of products such as corn, beans, tomatoes and potatoes as well as the use of various sea products like fish and seafood. Humitas, carbonadas, guisos and cazuela are some of the favorite dishes among locals.
Another feature of the cuisine of Chile is that its exquisite dishes are usually accompanied by typical alcoholic drinks like wine, chicha and the best Pisco from the IV region of La Serena.
